Progression Technologies, a Texas-based reseller of software solutions for engineering and manufacturing companies, announced the opening of a new office in Oklahoma City. As one of the nation’s fastest growing SolidWorks resellers, Progression now offers customers four office locations dedicated to the sales, training and support of SolidWorks 3D software tools. The Oklahoma City office joins three other Progression offices located in Texas: Dallas, Houston and Austin.
“We decided to open an office in Oklahoma City to better serve our growing customer base in Oklahoma,” explained John Forbes, owner and CEO of Progression Technologies. “People are definitely moving to Oklahoma; industrial jobs are up 15% since 2009. And in our industry, we’ve seen the demand for SolidWorks increase substantially in that area. By opening an office in Oklahoma City, we can now provide local support and training to better meet the design and engineering needs of our SolidWorks customers in Oklahoma.”
The Oklahoma office of Progression will be used as a sales, training, and educational facility. Recently hired account executive, Ashley Cronin, will be located at the Oklahoma City office. Cronin graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor’s degree and pursued a career recruiting engineers and working with manufacturing companies to provide engineering service solutions. Cronin’s career in working with engineers, drafters/designers and manufacturing companies brings an extensive amount of experience in providing exceptional customer service, knowledge and support to new and existing Progression customers.
In addition to Cronin, Tim Strange, an application engineer based in Dallas and a University of Oklahoma alumnus, will be supporting the Oklahoma area. Progression plans to hire a dedicated application engineer for the office soon. Future hiring plans include additional staff, as needed to meet local demands.
