Eurostep announces ShareAspace Nova 1.6 and enhancements to InReach Knowledge Transfer.

For most companies, a large part of the intelligence within product data is still hidden in “blobs” of unstructured data like Word documents or PDF drawings. The use of PLM has not improved this.
The new InReach Knowledge Transfer has the capability to do intelligent full text search and online preview of the content files alongside the more common meta-data search, making much more of that information accessible. These new search and preview capabilities bridge the gap between structured and unstructured data.

“We are continuously investing in the democratization of PLM and PLM Collaboration and are dedicated to deliver and improve Product Lifecycle Collaboration,” says Håkan Kårdén, Marketing Director Eurostep. “For us, it does not make sense to invent all technology ourselves. We are using Microsoft’s Azure cloud services to rapidly bring more business value to PLM with our new Extension Framework. This will enable re-use of the high-quality data in ShareASpace. As this data is consolidated from different sources and cleaned before imported into ShareAspace, it provides a great source for analytics and BI operations as well as platform for IoT data and all the services that comes with that,” ends Mr Kårdén.

The updated extension framework and event engine included in InReach Knowledge Transfer further supports secure, expandable and high-performance integration between product data and services in the cloud for IoT Hubs, Analytics, Cognitive Services and Business Intelligence, such as Power BI. The extension framework allows rapid integration of business value adding services which can be triggered by users or by events within the product data.
