Hitachi Vantara, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd., announced it has appointed Catriona Fallon as chief financial officer. Fallon will be responsible for the company’s global financial reporting and analysis, controllership, tax, treasury, internal audit and controls, real estate, facilities and financial shared services. Fallon’s appointment is effective Tuesday, May 7 and she will report to Hitachi Vantara Chief Executive Officer Brian Householder.
Fallon joins Hitachi Vantara with nearly 20 years of executive leadership experience in finance, technology and equity research. Most recently, Fallon was the CFO of Silver Spring Networks during a time of significant business growth and led the company through its 2018 acquisition by Itron, later serving as the acquired company’s general manager. Previously, Fallon held senior finance leadership roles at major high-tech brands including Hewlett-Packard Company, Cognizant Technology Solutions and Marin Software Incorporated. Fallon began her career as a consultant at McKinsey & Company and spent several years as an equity analyst at Piper Jaffray & Company and Citigroup.
