SAP is helping electric automaker Rivian advance its production and growth capabilities with a tailored systems solution deployed across the company’s operational footprint. This includes procurement, manufacturing and supply chain operations enhancements for the rapidly growing business.
Rivian will begin producing fully electric pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles in 2020. To facilitate and enable its product development and procurement needs during the preproduction phase, the company selected SAP S/4HANA on SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud to use for financials and procurement. SAP’s proven success in the automotive industry and ability to address the speed and agility demands of a company such as Rivian will allow the company to start small and fast while retaining unlimited growth potential.
