“As a long standing customer of Oracle and BTM Global, we were happy to work on such a unique cloud project,” said Byron Snider, information services leader, SCHEELS. “The SCHEELS leadership team believes that modern technology is critical to enhancing the experience for our associates, customers, and business partners. BTM pushed us to think critically about the solutions, driving the implementation, and providing strategic guidance on what’s best for our business needs as we move towards a checkout model that captures demand at the point of interest.”
By adopting the latest Oracle Xstore release, SCHEELS associates are no longer tethered to a central register. Associates can move across departments to guide the customer to more relevant offers and compelling merchandise. And by moving to the cloud, SCHEELS gains access to continuous innovation, reduces IT cost long-term, and modernizes infrastructure to keep pace with the changing retail landscape.
“Together with BTM Global, Oracle offers customers, like SCHEELS, a thoughtful and quick implementation approach,” said Mike Webster, senior vice president, and general manager, Oracle Retail. “Our goal is to enable retailers to focus their core resources on igniting the passion of their customers, supporting new consumer journeys and empowering their operations while we focus on delivering continued innovation.”
“The key to this cloud implementation was the tight relationship between Scheels, BTM, and Oracle Retail,” said Tom Schoen, CEO of BTM Global. “A clear plan and good communication between all parties were essential for meeting the strategic objectives. We were thrilled to partner with Scheels on another project that will shape their future success.”
SCHEELS is a long standing customer of Oracle Retail. SCHEELS began their implementation of Oracle Retail Xstore and Oracle Retail Xstore Office Cloud Service in September 2019.
