ESTECO announced the agenda for its International Users’ Meeting 2020 taking place on 30 September and 1 October. The event line-up sees 50 speakers live from Trieste, Itay and all over the world, including keynotes from Takenaka Corporation, Israel Aerospace Industries, Groupe PSA, CIMdata, Bouygues Construction, Petrobras, Johnson & Johnson Vision, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics and “La Sapienza” University. On the UM20 stage, all the speakers are going to share inspiring applications of ESTECO technologies, along with their views on the latest trends in the engineering field.
The meeting, dedicated to the VOLTA and modeFRONTIER users’ community, promises to reach record figures this year, with over 300 people who have already registered to attend virtually or in person. For the first time since the first edition in 2004, the event is free of charge and goes hybrid. “It seems that this unprecedented scenario due to a global pandemic”, said Carlo Poloni, President of ESTECO, “entails, among other changes, the opportunity to redefine and improve the way we connect with our users worldwide.”
The impact of COVID-19 pandemic to the engineering field is also reflected in the UM20 agenda. Specifically, Stan Przybylinski, Vice President of CIMdata, is going to present how COVID-19 will impact the global PLM market results. The presentation by Gianluca Palermo, from Politecnico di Milano, showcases the Exscalate project aiming at developing a smart platform against pathogens with the help of modeFRONTIER.
“Along with the architecture and construction sector”, Carlo Poloni explained, “the biomedical industry offers a new and promising field for ESTECO technologies, which have proven their effectiveness across many industries and applications over the years”. And the UM20 parallel sessions schedule confirms this view.
The session titled Flying Objects features presentations from Pipistrel and GKN, and includes a special focus on the America’s Cup with speakers from American Magic and Luna Rossa. Experts from Cummins, Ford Motors Company, IVECO, Mahindra & Mahindra, and Tafe Motors and Tractors are going to sparkle the Four Wheelers and Crash & Safety sessions. Other sessions are dedicated to Manufacturing, Academy and Research, Systems and Decisions and Special Interests.
As in the past editions, the agenda includes VOLTA and modeFRONTIER training sessions, product roadmap and update presentations, as well as networking opportunities with industry professionals and ESTECO experts and developers.
