PROSTEP TECHDAY is the free forum for the PROSTEP community that takes place every two years. At the event, the company regularly informs customers and other interested parties about important innovations in its comprehensive range of solutions and presents the roadmaps for the further development of the software solutions OpenPDM, OpenDXM GlobalX and PDF Generator 3D. In addition, renowned users will be giving short presentations to explain the benefits of the solutions in productive use.
On November 17, 2020, there will be three independent sessions, each lasting 90 minutes, so that participants can decide whether they want to participate in one or several blocks. In addition, the entire event will be recorded so that interested parties can watch it at a later date. However, the opportunity to discuss with the speakers is only available when participating in a live session.
This year's event will focus on PROSTEP's extended range of cloud-enabled solutions. The PLM experts will explain to participants how they can reduce installation and maintenance effort by using the OpenDXM GlobalX data exchange platform with additional functions and integrations instead of "on premise" as a SaaS (Software as a Service) model. "We will also be presenting the newly developed MicroServices architecture of our OpenPDM platform to customers and prospects, which supports PLM integration, migration and collaboration in a hybrid on-premise cloud environment," says Peter Pfalzgraf, Head of the Products BU at PROSTEP. "And we want to give them a first preview on OpenCLM, our newly developed solution supporting cross-domain configuration lifecycle management and ensuring traceability in complex development projects".
In another session, PROSTEP will present the latest version of the PDF Generator 3D-based solution for the automated generation of spare parts catalogs and the publication of service content on the Web. This solution plays a key role in minimizing the time and effort required to prepare service documentation and speeding up its provision.
