Engineering PLM Solutions Srl announces today that Corghi spa, a Nexion Group company that operates in the vehicle assistance equipment business, put RuleDesigner solution quickly into effect, fostering a cross-functional collaboration among the different corporate actors involved in the product development and definition processes.
Specifically, RuleDesigner allows the company to organize and share models, assemblies and technical drawings in both NX and Solid-Edge format thorough homogeneous codification and part-numbering plans, approval workflows configured to meet the customer requests, tools for file storage and intelligent search, functions for properties automatic filling into file and title-blocks and, finally, management of both assembly relationships and wave-link connections.
Today, Corghi’s technical data are automatically entered into the correct business flows with no interruption and forwarded to the ERP system, Microsoft Dynamics AX, on the basis of rule-based workflows. Moreover, automation processes as well as processes for creating and sharing documents have been configured in order to enable any user working at Nexion Group to consult documents transversally.
Also, with RuleDesigner it was possible to configure several document-types and their relative co-working workflow by using functions which allow to generate them starting from prepared templates.
Finally, some of the peculiarities that characterize the RuleDesigner project of Corghi are: complete pliability in the structuring of data classification, which can be extended at any time; the configuration of a “self-explanatory” part-numbering, driven by rules; a solid and comprehensive integration with the CAD design software NX and Solid Edge; automation processes that can be driven using the configurator; inter-departmental and inter-organizational collaboration facilitated by the PLM platform; integration of data into Microsoft Dynamics AX and the management of document processes with templates-based workflows, integrated into the PLM processes.
