TechStyle Fashion Group, the direct-to-consumer fashion retailer, has selected Centric Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). Centric Software® provides the most innovative enterprise solutions to plan, design, develop, source and sell products such as apparel, footwear, sporting goods, furniture, home décor, cosmetics, food & beverage and luxury to achieve strategic and operational digital transformation goals.
Founded in 2010, TechStyle Fashion Group integrates data science, personalization and membership commerce, reimagining the entire business cycle of fashion retail. Their impressive slate of brands—JustFab, FabKids, Shoedazzle, Fabletics, and Savage X Fenty—all have a monthly membership model of curated products, tailored to individuals. With 5.5 million members worldwide and growing, TechStyle has formulated a winning strategy.
As a data-driven company with an intense focus on creating efficiencies through innovation, TechStyle sought ways to improve its design operations. The process led to a PLM search which resulted in the selection of Centric as a preferred partner.
Jamieson Yee, SVP of global product, QA and UX teams at TechStyle says, “We release new product every week to our customers so we need systems and platforms to enable us to accelerate our business.”
To ensure that they selected the right partner, TechStyle brought PLM expertise in-house. “We strategically hired someone to come in and really drive the whole product creation process from start to finish. This person had a ton of experience working in multiple PLM platforms and out of all the platforms out there, Centric was her preferred choice. We did an analysis among different systems and our path to Centric was clear,” says Yee. “But more importantly, the thing that sold me was the relationship side, the partnership side. That’s what won me over.”
Yee continues, “Centric got our vote because the conversation wasn’t just about what PLM could do for us, it was more about partnership, and ultimately that was the biggest driver for me. Yes, we wanted a system that could do what we needed to make our teams’ jobs easier and we believe Centric can do that, but I also wanted to make sure we had a strong partner throughout this process.”
Having most of the functionality right out-of-the-box was key as well. But Yee stresses that they need a system that can accelerate innovation alongside TechStyle while facilitating new ways of thinking. “I feel like the Centric platform will allow us to do that right now, but also future-proof us moving forward. We want to be sure that our PLM partner can grow with us.”
Chris Groves, President and CEO of Centric Software says, “We are honored to be part of the ‘tech’ in TechStyle, pioneers of membership fashion sales. Their innovative approach will continue to drive growth in a journey we are looking forward to taking with them.”
