Autodesk Fusion 360 Now Includes TraceParts Engineering Catalogs

TraceParts, one of the world’s leading providers of 3D digital content for engineering, announces the immediate availability of its 3D CAD library seamlessly integrated within Autodesk Fusion 360, the Integrated CAD, CAM, CAE, and PCB software.

This true integration of TraceParts catalogs within Fusion 360 means users will have the ability to browse or search hundreds of millions of mechanical, electrical, electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and many other types of products without needing to install an extension or add-in. Once a product is chosen, designers configure product options, dynamically preview them in 3D, and insert native Fusion 360 3D models directly into their designs. Metadata rich Bill of Materials (BoM) properties connect chosen components back to the manufacturer to streamline supply chains and ultimately save time when ordering those components.

As part of the Trace Group who joined the Autodesk Developer Network (ADN) in the 1990s, TraceParts has been a long-term software partner of Autodesk to offer 2D drawings and 3D CAD models of industrial components to their millions of users.

“TraceParts is extremely proud to extend its long-lasting strategic partnership with Autodesk to include over 1,100 catalogs directly inside Fusion 360.

This unique integration of TraceParts catalogs into the Autodesk Fusion 360 design platform brings fantastic additional marketing exposure to the part vendors who already publish their products via the TraceParts Publishing Network, now totaling over 28 million engineers and designers worldwide.” explained Gabriel Guigue, TraceParts CEO and co-founder

“Autodesk Fusion 360 exists to be the absolute best tool for designers and engineers seeking the most efficient possible path from product inception through design and manufacturing.

Integrating the TraceParts library of hundreds of millions of 3D CAD models directly into Fusion 360, putting those parts at the fingertips of Fusion users, means those supplier-certified and standard componentsare now just a simple drag-and-drop away from being used in a design. This is a huge step toward reducing product time to market.” said Srinath Jonnalagadda, Vice President of Industry Strategy at Autodesk

The Autodesk Fusion 360 Design Library powered by TraceParts is immediately available for free to all Fusion 360 users via the “Insert > Insert TraceParts Supplier Components” menu command.
