thyssenkrupp Springs & Stabilizers stands for innovation and high-tech in chassis technology worldwide. The partner of the automotive industry has now decided on CIM Database. In this way, the company ensures more efficient processes along its global development projects based on the principle of the single source of truth and benefits from the greatest possible flexibility for future requirements.
The manufacturer of springs and stabilizers for the entire range of suspension systems has made it its business to ensure comfort and safety in vehicles. The great dynamism of the automotive industry poses the challenge for the globally operating group of companies to be able to react quickly to changes and to guarantee the high safety and quality requirements with increasing complexity. A high-performance development platform that enables more efficient processes along the entire product creation process is essential for this.
When selecting a suitable software solution, the open CONTACT Elements platform impressed not only with its functional performance, but also with its high flexibility, allowing applications to be easily expanded as required. "In addition to the actual functional performance, the ability of the platform to adapt quickly was one of the key decision criteria for us. Thanks to the positive experience of our sister companies with the Elements platform over many years, we decided in favor of the CONTACT Software partner," explains project manager Patrick Kraus.
With the use of CIM Database PLM and the fully integrated project management modules, thyssenkrupp Springs & Stabilizers will accelerate the process landscape in the future and improve cooperation in development projects that are distributed around the world. The ambitious schedule provides for the agile introduction of CONTACT Elements at the German locations by the end of 2021. The global rollout is planned for mid-2022. After the final expansion stage, around 450 users at the locations in Europe, Mexico, Brazil and China will use the PLM software from CONTACT for their daily work.
