The iSEEK Corporation is pleased to announce that the Kohler Company has selected CADseek Polaris as its shape-based search solution for CAD data management.
Kohler, a manufacturer of kitchen and bath products, is presently launching an enterprise production implementation of CADseek to complement the suite of software products used by its designers, production engineers and supply chain personnel. CADseek provides a rich graphical user interface that makes it easy to find the right part or assembly for reuse in the current project. Furthermore, CADseek also locates additional important information related to each of the parts, such as material, cost, supplier information and manufacturing documentation.
CADseek is able to handle any of the existing CAD formats and interfaces with all the popular PDM/PLM systems. Parts and assemblies in a specified database are first coded using iSEEK’s patented technology, and the results are classified into families of similar shape for browsing in the CADseek Navigator. Users can search one or more datasets on the basis of shape alone, attributes alone or a combination of the two.
