Theorem Solutions are pleased to announce the release of the latest Lightweight 3D Inventor to JT solution.

V24.2 supports Inventor 2021 and 2022, as well as all versions of JT, up to and including 10.8.

Lightweight 3D products are aimed at creating visualization data for users of digital mock-up, virtual reality or desktop applications and for companies wanting to share JT data as part of a collaboration process.

Our Inventor to JT translator is designed for users of the Autodesk Inventor Modelling Application who have selected JT to be their visualization system. The translator enables users to translate their Inventor assembly (.iam files) and part (.ipt files) data, into the JT format for further design, review and collaboration with customers and suppliers.

It enables the user to convert all forms of 3Dimensional Mechanical Design Geometry and Assembly data, together with system defined attribute information and colour information, between these two systems.

Using JT with additional 3D PMI data as part of a Model Based Definition process allows the user to reduce the overall design costs associated with the creation of conventional 2D drawings.

Sharing Inventor data using the neutral ISO standard JT format allows organisations to protect the intellectual property of their designs while allowing users to explore the shape to more easily understand the 3D definition. The IP protection can be enhanced by restricting the JT representation to be tessellated data only.

Our solutions are built with development tools and APIs supplied and are supported by the major CAD vendors that we have strategic partnerships with. This means we do not reverse engineer and can provide you with a robust application that offers full control over data preparation and optimization for the target formats.

Theorem’s strategic partnerships with Autodesk and Siemens ensures that there is parallel development between the latest releases of Inventor and JT, and Theorem’s Visualize 3D products, allowing Theorem to continue to provide data solutions for Inventor users wanting to create JT data.
