After 15 June 2022, Microsoft Internet Explorer will move inside the more modern Edge browser in certain operating systems. CADMATIC customers that only use eBrowser and eShare with desktop apps are not affected as the apps will work like before.
However, in order to use these applications with a browser after this date, it will need to be done in the so-called Internet Explorer mode (IE mode) in Edge.
Customer IT teams should already now start checking that they can run sites with eBrowser and eShare in IE Mode.

We’ve also got some great news. We’ve been working hard on developing a new plugin-free user interface for eShare. Among others, this means that you’ll be able to use eShare in the browser of your choice soon!
We’re implementing this in a stepwise fashion. In 2022T2, we will introduce the new user interface as a public preview. The public preview will have limited functionality, but in 2022T3 it will be completely ready. The new interface will not require the use of IE Mode, but it will require the use of an HTTPS connection. Our customers’ IT teams should start preparing for it already now.
