yutori Inc., the Japanese fashion start-up which runs multiple street brands, has successfully implemented Centric PLM, Centric Software®‘s Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solution. Centric Software provides the most innovative enterprise solutions to plan, design, develop, source and sell products such as apparel, footwear, sporting goods, furniture, home décor, cosmetics, food & beverage and luxury to achieve strategic and operational digital transformation goals.
Headquartered in Shibuya, Tokyo, yutori has developed several fashion brands and achieved rapid growth by adopting a DTC business model. The company does everything from product planning to sales in-house, without intermediary distributors or retailers. Until now, the company has used various tools such as e-mail, spreadsheets and SMS messages to exchange data. This includes product planning, quotations, orders and deliveries within the company and with suppliers, which are mainly textile trading companies. The company decided to adopt Centric PLM, the configurable, out-of-the-box PLM solution, in order to improve the efficiency of product sourcing, strengthen internal controls and improve data maintenance.
In February 2022, yutori completed the initial PLM implementation in just 5 weeks, followed by data cleansing and data load process for past transaction data. yutori went live with Centric PLM in March 2022, in approximately 3 months, including user training sessions. Centric Software’s unique Agile Deployment℠ methodology was critical in ensuring a rapid implementation.
