TECHNIA, the #1 knowledge leaders in PLM and Engineering, announced today it has entered into a sponsorship agreement with one of the United Kingdom’s most popular rally car competitor, Roger Duckworth.
The TECHNIA team will next race on the weekend of the 4-5 June at the 65th Anniversary Sol Rally Barbados. Former ANCRO National Champion, Roger Duckworth previously finished in second place at the Sol Rally in 2019 and will be hoping to complete a new personal best in the new MkI Fiesta R5.
The Barbados Rally Club marks its 65th Anniversary this year and is run by the Caribbean’s largest independent oil company.
“Automotive is a key part of our PLM and Engineering heritage at TECHNIA. Some of the most innovative and exciting developments happen when these vehicles are tested to the extreme. So, it’s important for us to stay closely involved in this area of the industry, to be in a position to ensure a better, more sustainable future."

This is even more last minute than usual, but I was keen to do Barbados again. The Goodwood Festival of Speed (FoS) is too close for shipping my Subaru back in time. So, I have just got a MkI Fiesta R5, partly driven by the fact that if I wanted to do a bit more rallying than I have for the past few years, I really ought to retire the ‘Old Girl’ and only bring her out for events like FoS.”
