ZWCAD Design unveiled new 3D features for ZWCAD+ 2015, Sweep and Loft. The two features add up to a more complete 2D-to-3D design workflow for ZWCAD+, making basic 3D design in 2DCAD easier and more productive. This new version 2015 will soon be released this August.
Create 3D model easily with Sweep and Loft
Sweep and Loft create a model by sweeping an open or closed planar curve, along an open or closed path or by specifying a series of cross sections. In ZWCAD+ 2015, simply by drafting a cross section and clicking the Sweep and Loft function, users can transform their 2D model to 3D quickly.
The newly added features Sweep and Loft have enhanced the whole 2D to 3D design workflow in ZWCAD+ 2015, which includes full ACIS modeling & editing, ACIS viewing, 3D orbit, rendering as well as visual style (Hide & Shade).
The all-in-one 2D & 3D workflow
The ZWCAD+ team decided to add these features based on in-depth research of user need. When it comes to 3D design based on 2D drafting, it is unadvisable to acquire 3D CAD software only to satisfy basic design need. Even though users managed to have affordable and less sophisticated 3D software, cross-platform design coordination will be troublesome due to file compatibility issues. Now with the enhanced workflow in ZWCAD+ 2015, users can accomplish their 2D & 3D “cross-over” design tasks easily and efficiently, within the same software, saving lots of cross-platform communication efforts.
“Although ZWCAD+ is essentially 2D CAD software, we also attach great importance to its 3D design capability. The new 3D features in ZWCAD+ 2015 add up to a more complete and useful 3D design workflow,” said Daniel Huang, Product Manager of ZWCAD+. “By introducing certain 3D functions, ZWCAD+ eases their design and cost burden.”
