Star Cruises Chooses BlueCielo Project Portal for Document Control, Change Management and Collaboration in New Building Projects

The BlueCielo solution will streamline document management and control processes; enhance Management of Change (MoC) and support global collaboration between internal and external stakeholders.

Star Cruises, the leading cruise line in Asia-Pacific, has selected BlueCielo Project Portal for all its new building projects. The BlueCielo cloud solution was chosen due to its powerful document control, change management and collaboration functionalities.

Star Cruises has placed a contract with German shipbuilder Meyer Werft for a new cruise ship. The 150,000-GT new building will have 1,680 cabins and is scheduled for delivery in fall 2016. This order will increase the shipyard's order book from six to seven large cruise ships up to the year 2017. About 3,100 direct employees of MEYER WERFT as well as about 20,000 employees of supplier companies and partners in Europe will participate in this project.

This extremely large project will be the first to be managed using BlueCielo Project Portal.

Why Choose BlueCielo Project Portal?

BlueCielo Project Portal is a 100% web-based, cloud document control solution for complex marine industrial projects with very large supplier networks. Documents drive industrial projects and BlueCielo Project Portal drives documents.

BlueCielo Project Portal helps marine companies to execute industrial investment projects in an external network of suppliers, contractors, authorities and customers. From standard operational change projects to massive capital new building projects, BlueCielo Project Portal contributes to lowering project costs and improving data quality. The more complex the installation and the more information and suppliers involved, the more relevant the use case is for BlueCielo Project Portal.
