Shanghai Jinjia Technology Co., Ltd. (Jinjia), a leading Chinese beauty products company, has selected Centric Software’s Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solution. Centric Software provides the most innovative enterprise solutions to plan, design, develop, source and sell products such as apparel, footwear, sporting goods, furniture, home décor, cosmetics, food & beverage and luxury to achieve strategic and operational digital transformation goals.
Founded in 2007, Jinjia is the general agent for more than 20 beauty brands in China. In 2019, Jinjia started its private brand development, including KIMTURE (skincare), EVERBAB (cosmetics), etc. Now Jinjia owns 4 private brands that account for more than 50% of the company’s revenues.
With a focus on product quality and innovation, Jinjia has set up an independent R&D lab and its own channel distribution and marketing team, creating a closed loop from product development to promotion.
With the growth of brand scale and the increase of innovation projects, Jinjia found it difficult to manage its business solely by manual operation and offline documents.
Seeking to maintain a competitive advantage, Jinjia chose to implement Centric Cosmetics PLM to shorten new product development times, enhance R&D precision, optimize team collaboration and promote business agility.
“I’m deeply impressed by Centric’s in-depth industry insights and best practice experiences in the global fashion and retail industries, especially in beauty and personal care,” says Ms. Maggie Wang, Chairwoman of Jinjia. “Centric will enable us to move from unstructured growth to refined operations and leverage our product strengths, thus ensuring the stable and long-term development of domestic brands.”
Mr. Ye Yun, Head of Jinjia’s IT Department, adds, “We are now in the early stages of digitalization and need a flexible and configurable system that can be expanded with increasing business process coverage and flexibility to account for a changing business landscape. Centric certainly has many competitive advantages in this regard and will be able to meet our long-term development needs.”
Jinjia is a strategic ‘lighthouse partner’ for Centric Software in China, working together to implement a digital transformation project that will be a benchmark for the Chinese cosmetics industry.
Wang concludes, “With a pioneering spirit, we are very pleased to launch this groundbreaking cosmetics PLM project in China with Centric Software. We have unanimously decided to partner with Centric. I have full confidence in our decision and look forward to blazing a new trail in the domestic beauty market through our cooperation.”
“We are very pleased that Jinjia has selected Centric as a strategic digital transformation partner,” says Chris Groves, President and CEO of Centric Software. “We believe that this is not only a business cooperation, but also a technical exchange between two enterprises that maintain leadership and innovation in their respective fields. We look forward to working closely with Jinjia to ensure that Centric PLM enhances their R&D capabilities, collaboration and competitiveness to drive future growth.”
