CENIT AND THE AUSTRIAN ACTIVE BUSINESS CONSULT GROW TOGETHER

CENIT continues to grow: About a month after the acquisition of the SAP consulting company PI Informatik , the CENIT Group is expanding by a new member.

With effect from July 31, 2023, CENIT will acquire a 60% stake in the Vienna-based Active Business Consult Informationstechnologie GmbH . Since it was founded in 2006, the company has positioned itself as a specialist in the digitization and optimization of business processes based on SAP solutions.

The know-how of the medium-sized company, which also acts as a "SAP Recognized Expert" in the area of SAP S/4 HANA, covers all the essential pillars in the digital value-added process: Active Business Consult connects data for planning processes in sales, production, quality assurance and maintenance with the corresponding data Integration into the finance and controlling processes. It thus enables integrated value creation within and between companies.

Completion of the SAP skill portfolio and diversification

The comprehensive SAP expertise as well as the focus on the sectors of energy supply, logistics, industry, trade and the public sector - especially in Austria - make Active Business Consult a sought-after partner of CENIT : As part of the 2025 strategy, the around 900 employees strong CENIT Group grow significantly organically and inorganically. In the focus of inorganic growth: Agile, economically solid companies that are characterized by proven solution and software expertise in the areas of product lifecycle management as well as document management and logistics.

Peter Schneck, CEO of the IT, software and consulting company CENIT explains: "The know-how of Active Business Consult in the SAP core process topics optimally complements the SAP PLM and analytics competencies of CENIT . In this way, we open up new possibilities for our customers in end-to-end integration in the development, production and supply chain environment.”

In addition to completing the SAP skill portfolio, the merger enables further diversification: "Together with Active Business Consult, we are strengthening our position in the Austrian market and further diversifying into the public sector and the energy sector. Our existing customers in Austria benefit from our new strength and the expanded network of experts. In addition, we will now offer the entire CENIT portfolio in Austria,” says Schneck.

Clear content focus

In the course of joint further development, both companies have a clear focus on content: "The realization of the SAP cloud in its various facets, as well as S/4 HANA migrations and new implementations will shape our cooperation as strategic future topics," says Christoph Domanig, Managing Director the Active Business Consult , firm. "We also see the potential to connect our network of experts with the activities of CENIT in Romania and thus build a powerful nearshore and sales hub for the Eastern European market," Domanig continues.

After the merger, Active Business Consult will continue to operate as an independent company under the leadership of the previous managing director Christoph Domanig. The name suffix "a CENIT Company" is intended to clarify the new group integration and the associated capital strength, market presence and joint future viability.
