The Finnish Defence Forces will collaborate with Accenture on a digital transformation programme designed to modernize its existing legacy ERP system to improve user experience, enhance system performance and deliver advanced reporting and analytics capabilities.
The transformation programme will feature the deployment of a new ERP system on the SAP S/4HANA ® Defence & Security solution. The programme will be led by Accenture and include subcontracting partners Islet Group Oy*., Neomore Consulting Oy*., and Agility Oy*. In addition, Accenture will provide application maintenance and ongoing development.
The procurement contract was signed by the Director of the Finnish Defence Forces Logistics Command, Major General Jari Mikkonen and Nordic Technology Director of Accenture Tomas Nyström at the headquarters of the Finnish Defence Forces Logistics Command in Tampere on October 13th, 2023.
Operational deployment of the new ERP system and the training of Finnish Defence Forces’ end users are targeted for the end of 2025.
