Bluebeam Announces Partnership with Suffolk Technologies for BOOST 5 Program

The highly competitive Suffolk Technologies BOOST program gives startups direct access to jobsites, unparalleled operational knowledge, and an expansive network of industry leaders

Bluebeam is proud to partner with Suffolk Technologies, the venture capital affiliate of Suffolk, for its fifth annual BOOST program. This intensive eight-week program is designed to ignite growth and equip pioneering startups in the built world with the right tools to transform the industry.

Throughout the intensive eight-week program, the selected startups will be launched into the built environment with direct access to jobsites and testbeds around the world, as well as an influential network of industry leaders and academics. As an Operating Partner, Bluebeam will work alongside these startups, providing product feedback, industry expertise, connections, and opportunities to test their technology in the field.

“In the fifth year of BOOST, we’re excited to harness the powerful ecosystem that’s emerged around this program over the past few years,” said Parker Mundt, Vice President of Platform for Suffolk Technologies. “Our 25 alumni remain deeply involved, alongside more than two dozen global Operating Partners and a network of industry advisors who’re excited to engage with innovators in our space. Together, they’ll play pivotal roles in guiding our new BOOST 5 cohort. We believe this group is poised to create exciting new opportunities for efficiency, cost savings, sustainability and so many other benefits for the industry as a whole.”

Startups that have participated in BOOST over the past several years have benefitted greatly from the program, with the first four cohorts collectively raising more than $505 million of venture funding after completing the program. BOOST alumni companies include startups such as CANVAS, Moxion Power, Passive Logic, Wint, Rugged Robotics, Exodigo, and Trunk Tools.

“It’s a profound experience to grow a company from inception, and Bluebeam is proud to be among those sharing insights to innovative startups during this critical business phase,” said Don Jacob, Chief Innovation Officer and one of the founding members of Bluebeam. “The AEC industry was in a much different place when we started out in 2002, and like many technology startups, Bluebeam was scrappy. Working with early-stage companies in the BOOST 5 program is a wonderful way to pay it forward, and we’re eager to share our learnings to help them make informed business decisions that will propel them and the built world toward further success.”

The application window will close at 11:59 p.m. (PDT) on June 15, 2024. Suffolk Technologies will invite a select group of applicants to participate in an interview process for a coveted spot in this year’s program. Successful applications will highlight team collaboration, well-defined industry challenges that can be solved by innovative technologies, and bold visions for the future of the built environment.
