Netskope, a leader in Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), has announced a Managed Service Provider (MSP) agreement with o2 Business, Telefónica Germany’s business brand. The two companies will partner to offer German companies comprehensive security services, building Netskope’s award winning Security Service Edge (SSE) technology into o2 Business’ security product portfolio.
Digital transformation and cloud adoption have moved applications and data outside of a company’s traditional IT perimeter, and changes to work patterns mean employees are now accessing systems from remote and hybrid locations. Security Service Edge (SSE) is a modern cloud-based approach to security which enables policy controls to be applied at the edge of the network, where devices access data and applications. Placing security and data protection measures closer to the data access point for cloud apps, private apps, and web increases their effectiveness while simultaneously improving user experience.
As part of the industry-lauded Netskope One platform, Netskope SSE uses zero trust principles and AI to govern access, protect data, stop threats, and enable secure work-from-anywhere connectivity using Netskope’s integrated and converged modules, including Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), Secure Web Gateway (SWG), ZTNA, Remote Browser Isolation (RBI), Cloud Firewall, SSPM and Digital Experience Management (DEM). All Netskope One services are powered by the Netskope NewEdge network, a worldwide security private cloud designed to deliver the industry’s fastest and most secure access to data, applications, and websites without compromising network performance.
The new managed service will make Netskope capabilities available to o2 Business customers, with o2 Business integrating and configuring the solution. Customers will receive continuous support from o2 Business, and can implement changes or updates efficiently.
Nikolaos Kalivianakis, Director B2B Business Products, Marketing and Solutions at Telefónica Germany, explained, “The partnership between o2 Business and Netskope supports companies in comprehensively protecting themselves against current and future security threats. With the holistic solution from o2 Business, companies are better equipped for the security requirements of digital transformation.”
Mike Herman, Vice President of Channel Sales EMEA and LATAM at Netskope, commented, “o2 is a major brand in the German market, and our partnership is testament to Netskope’s technology leadership. Our technology uniquely enables German businesses to address modern security and data protection challenges, and with the addition of o2 Business’ exemplary services and integration we will be even better able to support customers across Germany.”
