IPX & Cintoo Turn Laser Scans of Buildings to BIM for Operational Digital Twins

Integrated Projects (IPX) and Cintoo introduced a joint workflow that turns any registered point cloud into fully modeled BIM and CAD files in just a few clicks. Built on IPX’s BIMIT production engine and Cintoo’s cloud-based scan platform, the service makes it simple—and predictable—for commercial and industrial real estate teams to order, track, and download accurate as-builts in BIM and CAD formats that empower renovations and prepare their portfolios for AI-driven digital-twin applications.

Why This Matters

  • Get transparent pricing. Square footage and scope drive an instant quote, so owners know cost and turnaround before they approve.
  • Get standardized building data. Each model delivery meets LOD 200+ / LOA 20 and includes Revit, per-floor DWGs, reflected-ceiling-plan DWGs for MEPF, and an IFC—creating a series of digital assets delivered in a secure browser-based experience for downstream analytics, automation, and predictive tools.
  • Save on the cost of as-builts. Accurate models reduce change orders, shorten renovation schedules, and cut site visits.

How It Works

  1. Upload the scan – Register your laser scans in Cintoo exactly as you do today; no extra software or file transfers are required. Download your Cintoo scans in .e57 format.
  2. Order BIMIT – Upload your .e57 file and click the “Create” button, pick the scopes you need (Architectural, Mechanical, Furniture & Equipment), and see an autogenerated price and delivery date within seconds.
  3. Track progress – Once your order is completed, you'll see your order dashboard updates in real time in the IPX platform, showing production status and quality-assurance checkpoints. The platform currently delivers projects on schedule 95 percent of the time.
  4. Download your files – When the job is finished, you receive a secure link to Revit, DWG, and IFC packages ready for design tools, facility-management systems, or digital-twin platforms.

For reference, an 8,000 ft² retail space typically moves from scan to BIM in 5–7 business days, and dozens of sites can be processed in parallel for large portfolio rollouts.

Executive Perspectives

“Our goal is simple: get every building online with verified as-built data you can trust,” said José Cruz Jr., Founder & CEO, Integrated Projects. “By linking Cintoo’s scan platform to BIMIT, we’ve removed weeks of back-and-forth. Customers click once, see a price, and get models they can use in a seamless workflow—while laying the groundwork for AI and their organization's digital-twin workflows.”

“Cintoo users capture some of the most complex facilities in the world,” added Dominique Pouliquen, Co-Founder & CEO, Cintoo. “They’ve asked for a faster, scalable way to turn scans into BIM. Partnering with IPX delivers that speed without sacrificing accuracy, so our community can focus on insights instead of file prep.”

Measurable Impact

  • 95% on-time file delivery across thousands of projects
  • Up to 70% reduction in manual modeling hours versus traditional outsourcing
  • Portfolio proof: Fortune 500 manufacturers have already processed multi-site programs through the new workflow, cutting weeks off engineering timelines while standardizing data for their maintenance AI.

Built for Commercial & Industrial Use Cases

  • Tenant fit-outs & capital projects – Reliable as-builts minimize design surprises.
  • MRO & facility management – Complete, consistent geometry speeds work-order planning.
  • ESG & energy upgrades – Accurate areas and systems data feed simulation tools.
  • Digital twins & AI – IFC + Revit provide the structured foundation algorithms need.

Availability

The BIMIT | Cintoo service is live today for all Cintoo customers. New users can start a free Cintoo trial and immediately access the “Order BIM” button.
