GENESYS Advances Interoperability and Usability in Model-Based Systems Engineering

Zuken has unveiled a major update to its GENESYS platform, further strengthening its position in model-based systems engineering (MBSE). This latest release focuses on enhancing model structure, streamlining interoperability between tools, and accelerating the adoption of key industry standards that are vital for designing large-scale mission-critical and enterprise systems.

With this evolution, GENESYS aims to make MBSE more accessible and efficient, helping engineering teams improve system design rigor and collaboration across disciplines. These improvements are particularly valuable for organizations working on complex systems with stringent requirements, like aerospace, defense, and large-scale industrial applications.

Model Organization for Greater Interoperability

At the core of the latest GENESYS release is the introduction of Containment, a new approach to model organization that enables users to structure their engineering data in a way that aligns more naturally with user intent and industry expectations. Containment supports more intuitive organization and navigation of system models while also aligning with widely adopted standards for data exchange. This enhancement improves interoperability with other MBSE tools and facilitates data exchange in collaborative environments.

Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) Support with Built-in Guidance

GENESYS also introduces enhanced support for the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF), a standard developed by the Object Management Group (OMG) to support mission engineering and enterprise architecture. It includes a built-in modeling guidance to assist users in correctly applying the UAF methodology, and normative diagram samples that accelerate learning and adoption for new users of the UAF standard.

Continuing the Vision for Integrated, Scalable Engineering

These major exhancements to GENESYS reflect Zuken’s ongoing commitment to providing an integrated, scalable platform for model-based systems engineering. Whether supporting early concept development or enterprise-wide digital engineering initiatives, GENESYS enables teams to engineer with clarity, collaboration, and confidence.
