Centric Software® is pleased to announce that Likoufu of Guangzhou Restaurant Group has officially kicked off Phase II of its Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) project. Centric Software provides the most innovative enterprise solutions to design, develop, formulate, source, comply, buy, make, package, market and sell consumer goods products in food & beverage, grocery and multi-category retail to achieve strategic and operational digital transformation goals.
Likoufu Food Co., Ltd. is a large-scale modern food production enterprise under Guangzhou Restaurant Group. Established in 1938, Likoufu manufactures a wide variety of foods including its award-winning Mid-Autumn mooncakes, frozen dim sum, pastries and bread, ready-to-eat meals and snack foods. Going from a single factory to a large modern enterprise with four wholly owned subsidiaries, one controlling subsidiary and five equity-participated companies. Likoufu sells online and to supermarkets, distributors, chain stores and e-commerce platforms. Its products are highly popular and well-regarded both locally and globally.
In September 2021, Likoufu launched Centric PLM™ to enhance business performance. The successful rollout of Phase I significantly improved R&D efficiency and quality, achieving both standardization and digitalization. Since the go-live, the company has effectively utilized system functions such as master data management and historical file asset collection.
As Likoufu’s product matrix and business scope increased in complexity and consumer demands rapidly evolved, the company faced new digital transformation challenges like disconnected processes and difficulties in cross-functional collaboration. In response, Likoufu has deepened its collaboration with Centric Software to launch Phase II of the PLM project.
Likoufu established a clear and phased plan for its PLM project. Since Phase I, it has effectively leveraged system features like R&D master data management. Phase II will build an end-to-end product lifecycle management framework covering the entire process from product concept to end of life.
Mr. Guo Weixiong, Chairman of the Guangzhou Restaurant Group Labor Union and Party Secretary of Likoufu, notes, “The main challenges of Phase II lie in its broad organizational scope and high process complexity. We expect Centric’s expert team to leverage their experience and share best practices, and we call on all business units at Likoufu to fully cooperate and work closely with Centric to ensure the project’s successful completion.”
Mr. Hu Changli, Director of Likoufu’s Food Innovation Research Institute, states, “Expanding Centric PLM to additional departments will actively contribute to Likoufu’s business expansion. Our goal is not just to create new products but to redefine our methodology and process management for product development.”
Mr. Guo Weixiong further emphasizes, “This project will optimize business processes, standardize data operations and strengthen the product database. It serves as a breakthrough and key driver for improving quality and efficiency, building core competitiveness in product management and propelling high-quality development in the digital era.”
Fabrice Canonge, President of Centric Software concludes, “We are thrilled that Likoufu is moving ahead with adding more functions and departments to Centric PLM. The collaboration among the teams responsible for the full product lifecycle will boost efficiency overall and impact business performance.”
