Cadac presents a new groundbreaking integration between Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and Ultimo. This integration, developed on the Cadac Connect platform, is unique in its kind and offers organisations a standardised, efficient and error-reducing way to exchange asset information between design and management systems. Coen Vromans and Ben Spreen of Cadac will demonstrate the integration during the upcoming IFS Ultimo Congress in Vienna, which will take place from 13 to 15 October.
From design to maintenance without manual work
More and more organisations and governments receive BIM models with detailed asset information upon delivery of projects. Until now, this information was often manually transferred to maintenance systems such as Ultimo, a time-consuming and error-prone process. This new integration puts an end to this for good. Thanks to the link via Cadac Connect , asset data is automatically synchronised between both systems. This creates a direct digital connection between design, realisation and management and maintenance.
Smart standard integration
The integration is part of the Cadac Integration Accelerators: proven, standardised solutions that can be implemented quickly. Within a few days, a Cadac consultant can configure, test and deliver the link. Standard functionalities include:
- Synchronizing Equipment items between ACC and Ultimo;
- Showing Equipment items in a 3D model in ACC from a link in Ultimo;
- Displaying Equipment-related documents in ACC from a link in Ultimo.
This creates one integrated digital chain in which designers, contractors and managers work with the same up-to-date data.
Built on Cadac Connect
The integration runs on the Cadac Connect platform, on which ready-to-use connectors and script templates are available. This basis makes it possible to set up integrations quickly, to maintain them easily and, if desired, to expand them with specific functionalities. Connectors within Cadac Connect are based on modern standards such as REST and OpenAPI, which ensures robust and secure data exchange.
A first for the sector
The upcoming presentation at the IFS Ultimo Congress marks an important step in the further digitisation of the construction and maintenance sector. The collaboration between Cadac, Autodesk and Ultimo shows how standardisation and integration can close the gap between design and maintenance.
