ENCY lands in Japan with newly launched distributor CAMSUPS

CAMSUPS is led by CAD/CAM market pioneer Taiji Sano. He founded JBM in 1970 and brings decades of hands-on manufacturing software experience in Japan. In the early 1990s, his team helped introduce a globally recognized CAM brand to the Japanese market, building deep commercial and technical expertise in CAD/CAM adoption, enablement, and customer support on local shop floors.

ENCY Software and CAMSUPS moved quickly from initial contact to technical evaluation, followed by an in-person milestone around EMO in Germany. The companies finalized a signed agreement and a clear go-to-market plan.

With CAMSUPS, ENCY gains a local partner that understands Japan’s manufacturing culture. Andrei Kharatsidi, CEO of ENCY Software, commented: “We see strong potential in this partnership. CAMSUPS has shown exceptional drive and a clear focus on execution, and we are confident the team can build meaningful momentum for ENCY in Japan.”

From January through March 2026, CAMSUPS will run a new product launch campaign and scale customer support by expanding its workforce, including additional technical specialists. The company is bringing ENCY to market through Japan’s established network of machine tool trading companies and channel partners.

Taiji Sano, President of CAMSUPS, said:“ENCY is a latecomer, but it offers high functionality. Thanks to everyone, we were able to become ENCY’s general agent in Japan. Since we need sales agents to provide technical support after implementation and to speed up market penetration, we will be recruiting new partner companies to expand our network.”

Japan is a particularly attractive market for ENCY because it combines a large, sophisticated machine-tool ecosystem with high automation intensity. The Japan Machine Tool Builders’ Association (JMTBA) reports ¥1,485.1 billion in total machine tool orders in 2024. In robotics, Japan remains one of the world’s most automated manufacturing economies, ranking 5th globally in robot density and standing as the second-largest market for industrial robot installations in 2024 (44,500 units). For ENCY, whose positioning emphasizes unified CNC and robot programming, this combination of advanced machining demand and high robot adoption creates a strong fit for accelerated growth.
