Anark Corporation today announced it has signed a Strategic Reseller Agreement with PLM Group, SolidWorks' largest reseller in the Nordic region.
The paradigm shift away from traditional 2-dimensional engineering drawings to communicate design intent, and the move toward paperless processes in manufacturing through the use of Model-Based Definition (MBD) and Model-Based Enterprise (MBE) best practices, enables substantial cost-savings and new efficiencies within design and manufacturing operations.
Leveraging Anark's well-known 3D MBE successes within the U.S. Department of Defense, as well as many of the world's most innovative Enterprises (like General Electric, Lockheed Martin, Ericsson Communications, Honeywell, and Boeing Defense), Anark and PLM Group plan to rapidly repeat and extend these successes within world-leading manufacturing enterprises located in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
"The adoption of Model-Based Enterprise practices has produced compelling and company transforming results, with many of our customers reporting 30% reduction in engineering time, 20% reduction in scrap & rework and as much as 50% reduction in manufacturing and supplier response times," said Stephen Collin's, President and CEO of Anark Corporation. "We feel fortunate to team up with PLM Group, and believe their specific knowledge and customer track record for successful PLM implementation are the perfect foundation for delivering highly effective 3D MBE solutions to their customers." adds Collins.
The agreement between Anark and PLM Group allows the companies to work together in the sale, distribution, training and support of Anark's flagship products, Anark Core MBEWorks™ for SolidWorks as well as Anark's multi-CAD and multi-PLM solutions enabled with Anark Core Workstation™ and Anark Core Server™.
Anark and PLM Group will be providing Nordic customers with the ability to deploy effective Model-Based Enterprise solutions and processes, including:
- The transformation of native SolidWorks, CATIA, NX and Creo part and assembly-level 3D model-based definition data (including 3D dimensions, tolerances, custom properties, title blocks, and BOM tables) into "pixel perfect" 3D PDF and 3D HTML 5 engineering and manufacturing release documents and applications;
- Automatic publishing of model-based documentation derived from leading PLM/PDM and ERP databases such as Enovia, Teamcenter, Windchill, EPDM, Oracle and SAP;
- The ability to combine MBOM and EBOM data stored in separate ERP and PLM databases into synchronized "graphically rich" 3D MBE documents;
"We have been searching for a world-class 3D MBE solution which correctly and precisely transforms MBD data into pixel-perfect 3D PDF and 3D HTML 3D MBE applications" said Jan Lundström CEO of PLM Group.
"Our new partnership with Anark Corporation shows our commitment to providing only the best technology and practices to our customers who want to accelerate their move towards a 3D Model-Based Enterprise" Lundström continued.
