Cotality joins Snowflake initiative to define standards for agentic AI financial services through the Open Semantic Interchange (OSI)

Cotality™, a leading global property information, analytics, and data-enabled solutions provider, announced at Snowflake’s annual user conference, Snowflake Summit 26, that it is a founding member in Snowflake’s Financial Services Working Group under Open Semantic Interchange (OSI). As a key contributor to the newly established group, Cotality is pioneering the structural definitions and semantic frameworks required to deliver AI-ready data at scale. This collaboration ensures that complex property and financial data meet open semantic standards, establishing an interoperable data layer that accelerates the deployment of cross-ecosystem agentic AI workflows.

As organizations move rapidly to autonomous intelligence, a primary bottleneck to enterprise AI adoption is "semantic friction"—the heavy data engineering and translation required for large language models and autonomous agents to understand fragmented schemas. By aligning

Cotality's foundational datasets directly with the OSI framework, enterprise buyers across insurance, lending, and capital markets can instantly deploy data that is not just accessible but inherently understood and immediately actionable by AI agents across platforms without manual transformation.

“Autonomous decision-making by AI agents depends on a shared understanding of what data means across the industry,” said Devi Mateti, President, Enterprise Digital Solutions, at Cotality.

“Through our role as a founding member of the Financial Services Working Group of the OSI, Cotality is helping bring together disconnected financial and property data and transform it into a consistent, structured format that AI systems can rely on. We’re going beyond making data AI-ready—we’re helping define the semantic foundation that supports more transparent, auditable, and autonomous decision-making throughout financial services."

The announcement underscores Cotality’s operational transformation into an AI-first data organization, building on recent advancements in its AI-ready data foundation. Following the successful launch of Cotality’s native AI-Ready Data architecture on March 31, 2026, this Snowflake collaboration further expands Cotality’s role as an open, interoperable data utility across the world's leading cloud and AI platforms. The collaboration also reinforces Cotality’s ability to support real-world financial services use cases by providing the standardized semantic foundation required for scalable, agent-driven workflows.

Through participation in this collaborative OSI initiative, Cotality will focus on key modernization areas for data leaders and Chief Data Officers:

  • Reducing Semantic Friction: Ensuring that complex multi-source property intelligence financial data points integrate seamlessly into cross-platform AI workflows.
  • Enabling the Agentic Future: Providing the precise, auditable semantic context necessary for AI agents to operate autonomously, minimize hallucinations, and execute trusted financial underwriting and risk evaluation.\
  • Open Standards Leadership: Differentiating Cotality from legacy data vendors who merely bundle AI features, instead validating Cotality's role in engineering the universal open data definitions that power ecosystem automation.

"Open Semantic Interchange (OSI) was designed to establish a common language for enterprise data cloud ecosystems, driving seamless cross-platform interoperability," said John Heisler, Head of AI for Financial Services, Snowflake. "Founding collaborators like Cotality bring deep sector-specific domain expertise to our Financial Services Working Group. Their commitment to building standardized, semantic, and agent-ready data frameworks is critical for enterprises looking to scale secure, trusted, and auditable AI automation."

OSI is poised to revolutionize interoperability within the data and AI ecosystem by providing a transparent, community-driven standard. This collaborative effort under the OSI umbrella establishes the grounded context essential for the next frontier: AI agents executing with precision across the global financial landscape.
