Trimble Unveils Next-Gen Shipper TMS to Redefine Supply Chain Flexibility

Trimble introduced its cloud-native Transportation Management System (TMS) for North American shippers, connecting the Trimble ecosystem to manage modern supply chain complexities. The TMS allows shippers and third-party logistics providers to automate fragmented workflows and improve carrier-shipper transactions within a single, connected environment.

Trimble TMS for Shippers is an agile, AI-integrated transportation management system that combines automation and real-time visibility in one core bundle. Designed for scale, it allows companies of all sizes to build a custom TMS by adding additional point solutions as needed. Trimble TMS for Shippers provides a flexible and unified end-to-end solution, with access to tools from freight procurement to settlement, to help boost supply chain optimization and operational scalability.

Leveraging Trimble’s suite of AI and machine learning-powered freight management solutions, Trimble TMS for Shippers offers a configurable experience that integrates with existing enterprise resource planning products. Key offerings include advanced solutions for Transport Planning & Execution, Freight Marketplace sourcing, Freight Visibility, Dock and Yard Management, Freight Audit, and Mapping & Routing — including routing software integrations with PC*Miler and Appian, the latter ideal for private fleets.

By leveraging AI to automate freight planning and assignment, predictive ETA tracking, carrier vetting and more, the solution streamlines manual workflows, enhances analytics and helps to ensure compliance. It enables users to navigate real-world disruptions using agile planning tools that can account for weather and geopolitical volatility, while supporting sustainability practices such as reducing carbon emissions through optimized network visibility and improved truck fill.

“In an era of constant disruption, shippers need an agile TMS that acts as a strategic nerve center for logistics,” said Chris Keating, senior vice president, transportation and logistics at Trimble. “Our AI-driven platform allows customers to build their ideal system — selecting functionalities they need, from freight procurement to settlement — without the burden of ‘ripping and replacing’ existing infrastructure. By combining cloud-native architecture with a global network of 210,000+ carriers and 1,500+ shippers, Trimble enables end-to-end visibility and operational efficiency.”

Availability

Trimble TMS for Shippers is available for shippers and logistics providers in North America as a bundled solution, packaging together the most commonly used capabilities while offering monthly cost predictability and flexibility to scale.

The current bundle includes Transport Assignment (“no-touch order” assignment) with Transport Planner, Freight Visibility, Data Insights (reporting and analytics), Exchange platform for integrations and complimentary Event Management and Attachment Services add-ons. An additional Cost Management add-on option, enabled by PC*Miler is also available at an extra cost.
