Siemens at NFPA 2026: Advancing Fire Protection Through Innovation

Siemens will showcase its latest fire safety innovations at NFPA Conference & Expo 2026, taking place June 22–24 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Attendees are invited to visit Booth 603 to explore Siemens’ newest and upgraded fire safety offerings, including Acend Intelligent, ASD+, Fire Install Suite, and Fire Digital Twin. In-booth presentations on new and upgraded solutions will be held throughout the event, offering a closer look at how Siemens is advancing fire protection through digitalization and connected technologies.

Technology to Support Smarter Fire Protection
At NFPA 2026, Siemens will highlight Acend Intelligent, a new addressable and intelligent notification appliance portfolio featuring self-test capabilities, disturbance-free testing, and robust cloud and panel connectivity. The solution transforms fire notification into a connected, data-driven system designed to enhance operational awareness while minimizing disruption.

Siemens will also showcase ASD+, a new-to-the-U.S. aspirating smoke detection solution with UL certification. Originally launched in Europe, the expanded 2026 offering includes multiple models with enhanced flexibility, serviceability, and commissioning capabilities through the ASD Connect app. ASD+ is designed for demanding environments such as data centers, lithium-ion battery energy storage facilities, warehouses, and other large-scale protection areas.

In addition, Siemens will introduce Fire Install Suite, a new solution designed to automate detector loop and notification loop programming and streamline troubleshooting. The suite includes a compact programming device and the Building X Fire Install app, enabling a transition from paper-based workflows to real-time digital installation updates. Fire Install Suite is part of a broader Building X expansion that also includes Fire Digital Twin, supporting enhanced planning, commissioning, and system visibility across fire safety projects.

Industry Collaboration on DC Arc Flash Research
Coinciding with NFPA 2026, Siemens, along with industry peers, will sponsor the NFPA Research Foundation’s development of a model for direct current (DC) arc flash phenomena. Current guidance under IEEE 1584, referenced in NFPA 70E, is limited to alternating current (AC) systems, and existing DC methodologies may overestimate risk.

As DC applications continue to expand across industries, there is a growing need for standardized safety guidance and calculation methods for DC arc-flash hazards. This research initiative will establish the foundation for DC arc flash modeling and is expected to influence Siemens’ entire direct current portfolio.

Digital Tools in Fire Safety
Siemens will use NFPA 2026 to demonstrate how its Building X portfolio is advancing fire protection with digitalization. Fire Install Suite and Fire Digital Twin will be key highlights, showcasing how digital tools can improve installation workflows, simplify updates, and support more efficient execution across fire safety systems.

In addition, Siemens will highlight its Digital Electrical Services, Unified Security Solutions, and Cybersecurity offerings, extending digitalization to the broader building electrical infrastructure through cloud-based monitoring, remote diagnostics, and advanced analytics. These solutions provide continuous visibility into system health, supporting alignment with standards such as NFPA 70B while helping reduce downtime and strengthen overall facility safety and resilience.

Advancing Electrical Safety and Compliance with NFPA 70B
As electrical systems become increasingly critical to facility safety and resilience, Siemens is highlighting how NFPA 70B is rapidly emerging as a defining, enforceable standard, raising expectations for how organizations manage electrical reliability, risk, and documentation. At NFPA 2026, Siemens will advance this discussion through two educational sessions, “From Reactive to Reliable: Transitioning NFPA 70B Equipment from Condition 3 to Condition 1” (Tuesday, June 23, 8 - 9 am, Islander DEI) and “Electrical Reliability in Healthcare: Meeting Healthcare Accreditation Standards Using NFPA 99 and NFPA 70B” (Wednesday, June 24, 8 - 9 am, Islander CH) — focused on helping organizations implement these requirements.

Siemens’ electrical services team supports this shift through NFPA 70B Site Assessments and a portfolio including Power Systems Studies, Arc Flash Hazard Analysis, and field maintenance, while digital tools enable centralized record keeping supporting compliance and strengthen reliability, safety, and alignment with NFPA 70B and NFPA 70E.

Data Center Fire Protection Insights
Also happening at NFPA, Siemens will present on “High Density, Higher Stakes: Navigating the Risk of Fire in Data Centers” (Tuesday, June 23, 2:30 – 3 pm, Exhibitor Presentation Theater).

Experience Siemens at Booth 603
