SoftInWay Inc. is pleased to announce its new client – Weir Power & Industrial. Weir Power & Industrial, a division of The Weir Group, is headquartered in Scotland with locations on five continents. The company provides a wide range of engineering solutions and support services for the global power generation, oil & gas, and industrial sectors. Among the many offerings of Weir Power & Industrial are the design and manufacture of hydro turbines and industrial steam turbines.
Weir Power & Industrial has placed an order to use SoftInWay’s flagship software, AxSTREAM, in order to perform the design, optimization and analysis of their axial steam turbines. SoftInWay experts will be fully training Weir engineers to use AxSTREAM so as to incorporate it into the design, analysis, and manufacturing process already in use at the company.
AxSTREAM offers many capabilities relating to axial turbines, including:
- Design, redesign, analysis, and optimization in a fully-integrated standardized interface
- Preliminary flow path design, sizing, visualization, and analysis.
- Embedded tools for express 3D analysis
- Various other capabilities necessary for successful design.
