Omnify Software today announced that it was named a 2014 Green Supply Chain Award winner for the second consecutive year. Omnify Empower PLM was recognized as an enabling technology helping its customers make sustainability a part their supply chain strategy.
The Green Supply Chain Awards from Supply & Demand Chain Executive (SDCE) recognize companies making green or sustainability a core part of their supply chain strategy, and are working to achieve measurable sustainability goals within their own operations and/or supply chains, in the areas of Sourcing/Procurement, Fulfillment/Logistics, Operations, Product Lifecycle Management, and other areas of the supply chain. The awards also recognize providers of supply chain solutions and services assisting their customers in achieving measurable sustainability goals.
Supporting customer's initiatives to meet worldwide environmental compliance regulations such as RoHS, REACH, and Conflict Minerals is one area where Omnify's impact is clear. Providing a holistic view of product data and the ability to track, manage and report on all of the information associated to a product, including classifying compliant and non-compliant parts/suppliers, helps to gain better insight into potential risks, costs, and opportunities throughout the supply chain and aids in meeting sustainability goals.
"With over 100 entries, we are honored to have been selected again as a Green Supply Chain Award winner," stated Chuck Cimalore, CTO for Omnify Software. "Our PLM solution helps customers create an efficient sustainability framework with the ability to effectively manage environmental compliance information and address product sustainability early in the planning and design of new products."
