Tech Soft 3D announces the release of HOOPS Visualize 2015, with capabilities that make it easier than ever to add high-performance, interactive 3D visualization to desktop and mobile applications. The industry-leading toolkit currently powers advanced graphics in hundreds of engineering applications around the globe.
HOOPS Visualize 2015 leverages the latest 3D GPU capabilities available on current graphics processors, giving developers the tools to provide the best possible rendering and selection performance. A tighter connection with the HOOPS Exchange toolkit enables applications to load files from over 20 formats faster than any other solution on the market as well as support CATIA drawings. New functionality also enables comprehensive interaction with and querying of rich CAD data through a reference model browser.
“The range of HOOPS Visualize’s features and component integrations continue to expand, which further solidifies its position as the leading engineering visualization toolkit,” says Robert Mazeffa, Director of HOOPS Visualize Product Development. “Developers can more easily visualize and interact with CAD, and then publish that visual information with context.”
HOOPS Visualize 2015 also includes:
- 3D PDF export enhancements: Through the connection to HOOPS Publish, this latest version supports additional 3D attributes, slide tables, buttons and view carousels, allowing richer 3D PDFs that support the MBE (model-based enterprise) approach to manufacturing.
- Shader-pipeline tuning: CAD model selection and drawing performance has been further boosted with HOOPS Visualize’s continual 3D shader optimizations.
- New view/model manipulation tools: New functionality makes it easier than ever to manipulate cutting sections, access section geometry, navigate views and browse CAD model structure, increasing the value and interoperability of CAD/CAM/CAE applications.
- Point-cloud enhancements: Enable better visual results and enhanced performance for data acquired from laser-scanners.
“HOOPS Visualize allows us to produce stunning graphics with ease,” says New River Kinematics Co-founder, Joe Calkins. “It is fast, well organized, and well suited to our needs in the metrology software business. It does what a software tool should do – it accelerates our development.”
