Swedish IT startup BIMobject AB announce that they are starting up operations in the United States. BIMobject inc. will be a 100% owned subsidiary to the publicly listed BIMobject AB at Nasdaq OMX First North. BIMobject inc. will be a Californian Corporation and based in Silicon Valley. The US construction industry are now beginning to see the light and a recovery since the 2008 downturn is well under way.
BIMobject is available today in many major European countries with its own subsidiaries or with business partners. The opinion from the board is that BIMobject have quickly taken a leading position in the development, maintenance and smart cloud solutions that provide architects, engineers and designers access to manufacturers' products as digital objects. Due to the success in Europe and the investment from Hexagon the establishment of the United States has come earlier than planned.

The United States was an early adopter in web portals where you could download digital objects, mainly CAD files and in later years, BIM objects. The board recognizes that none of the established suppliers have kept up with the incredibly rapid development of the Internet and above all not understanding web 2.0. Our solution is the most advanced and up to date in the world, bringing real value to the business with Apps for both the user and the manufacturer, increasing communication and delivering know-how into the projects.
According to the board, The BIMobject Cloud is unique with its modern platform, ability to handle any standards and file format, version control, maintenance of attributes, registered users with a variety of roles and for the manufacturers an analysis and sales tool that generates real business in real time.
BIMobject inc. will be managed by Alan Akman, the founder of CAiCE and a former executive of Autodesk inc., USA. BIMobject Inc. will recruit staff in sales and project management and will have its US headquarters at One Market Street in San Francisco, in the same building as Autodesk and salesforce.
