Aras today announced that ESCATEC, a leading provider of electronic and mechatronic design and manufacturing solutions, has selected the Aras Innovator® suite for enterprise PLM to streamline product information management and enable concurrent engineering worldwide.
From R&D to manufacturing, ESCATEC will rely on Aras to manage product data for ESCATEC's global R&D, process engineering, account management, shop floor and other processes across the company’s business units. Specific processes include Bill of Materials management, document management and engineering change management along with Solid Edge CAD integration and enterprise search.
ESCATEC chose Aras after conducting a successful proof-of-concept project with Aras. ESCATEC identified the comprehensive functionality, flexibility and ease of configuration as a key difference compared to other PLM systems, noting that Aras enables the introduction of process changes in step with evolving customer demands. Further, the various locations of ESCATEC in Europe and Malaysia will be able to share product information online with Aras making global collaboration and simultaneous development possible.
