Aras®, in partnership with Altium today announced a new approach to systems development that allows engineers working on complex products to access Altium PCB design data from within Aras Innovator®. By improving collaboration across electrical, mechanical, and software disciplines, Aras allows engineers to efficiently manage the product lifecycle from requirements through design, manufacture, and service.
With Aras Innovator connected to Altium Vault, the Altium centralized database for ECAD design data, global businesses can efficiently manage multidisciplinary bill of materials and enterprise-level configuration, change, and requirements management. This provides engineers with full product visibility, breaking down departmental and functional silos and enabling cross-discipline collaboration between mechanical, electrical, and software disciplines.

Current integration features allow for the seamless transfer of released design and manufacturing data from Altium into Aras Innovator. This includes:
- Bi-directional collaboration between electronic and mechanical domains
- Management of electromechanical BOM configurations
- Full synchronization of lifecycle states
- Unified control of release revisions and the change management process
