CD-adapco, the largest privately held CFD-focused provider of Computer Aided Engineering software, is hosting a complimentary workshop on December 7, 2015 in Houston, Texas, titled, “MDX: Reducing Product Development Costs through Simulation.”This event is geared toward oil and gas industry professionals who develop products in support of subsea, subsurface, process & separation and marine & offshore operations and want to reduce development time and costs while improving performance.
The event will feature presentations from ABS, Wild Well Controls Advanced Engineering, and the CD-adapco team.
As the oil and gas industry faces the challenges presented by the current market downturn, cost reduction and efficiency improvements are a competitive necessity. Traditional design processes that rely on physical testing have high costs and limit the number of design variants that can be evaluated. By automating robust, validated CFD simulations, design teams can increase the number of design points evaluated while reducing the time spent on analysis.
Through the use of MDX, CD-adapco customer FMC Technologies reduced time spent on simulation by 40 percent while significantly increasing the number of designs evaluated.
