Fidesys LLC, a leading developer of FEA simulation tools, announced today that its SimulationForDesign (SimForDEsign) cloud based solution for the evaluation of structural performance is amongst the first applications offered through the Onshape App Store. This fact alone proves the high quality of services SimForDesign provides to their customers, both because Onshape chooses only best products to come up on their App Store and because SimForDesign always improves usability for their customers, for example being part of a cloud CAD/CAE bundle.
SimForDesign is available as an Onshape Integrated App giving Onshape users the ability to perform linear stress analysis on their designs without leaving the Onshape environment. Using SimForDesign as an Onshape Integrated App will allow users to examine parts performance in a very easy and efficient way. All you need to do is subscribe to the SimForDesign application which can be done without leaving the Onshape AppStore. Then, to perform analysis you just add the SimForDesign application tab to your Onshape document. All simulations are performed in the cloud, no need to install anything on your computer. Because SimForDesign operates in the cloud, you also do not have to worry about computational resources required for your analysis - SimForDesign allocates everything automatically. Unlike in other cloud simulation services where you might pay for astronomical (real) hours, the SimForDesign billing system is very simple and straightforward basing usage on the actual CPU time, not the time spent setting up a simulation.
