ZWSOFT, an innovative supplier of CAD solutions to the AEC and MCAD industries, today announced that ZWCAD 2017 has integrated more useful features such as Flatten, Advanced Grip Editing, and Undo Snapshot, to make editing more flexible and productive.
Flatten creates a 2D representation of objects and projects them onto the current viewing plane. By flattening objects, users can get a clearer view of 3D models once a viewpoint is set.
As ZWCAD is a 2D drafting application, however, not all the files users receive are exactly 2D after various editing. Sometimes some accidental Z coordinates get into the drawing and make it difficult to add new geometry or pull accurate distances from existing objects. Now in ZWCAD 2017, all those unwanted elements can be removed with Flatten function.
ZWSOFT believes that they can do better in grip mode, and they have pushed every aspect of what’s possible with ZWCAD to new heights, the outcome – Advanced Grips. It is more than just a grip mode. Users can reshape, move, or manipulate objects on ZWCAD 2017 in the fastest way, tailoring their ideas exactly into something they expect.
People make mistakes, and usually there is no going back. ZWCAD 2017 allows users to go back to their previous steps, and before they make the decision, they can take a look at what exactly they did on every step because the history records are presented in snapshots.
“Perhaps all of these are just too insignificant to be called ground-breaking features, but for us, no detail is too small. Every tiny improvement we are talking about is inspired by actual user experience,” said Daniel Huang, Product Manager of ZWCAD. “An ordinary design tool is good, but we want to be better.”
