Anark Corporation announced today that Anark Core will be included within the Autodesk Inventor platform to enable publishing of 3D PDF engineering documents and Technical Data Packages (TDP).
Leveraging Anark's advanced recipe-driven publishing and collaboration software, currently deployed within many of the world's largest manufacturing enterprises, Anark and Autodesk are bringing together the power of Anark Core OEM with the Autodesk Inventor line of mechanical CAD products.
The past three years have seen a rapid migration by enterprise manufacturing companies, away from traditional engineering drawings to communicate design intent and manufacturing process, towards paperless MBE best practices. A natural next step in this paradigm shift is for their extended network of suppliers to leverage the advantages of MBE best practices.
The Anark technology built into Inventor 2017 will allow users to publish Inventor 3D parts and assemblies, together with attached 2D drawings, schematics, parts lists, and manufacturing notes, into 3D PDF technical data packages (TDPs) that can be shared internally, with customers, or within the manufacturing supply chain.
"We are excited about our collaboration with Autodesk and believe that the ability to define and publish production-quality 3D PDF TDPs directly from Inventor 2017 will add substantial value for our shared user communities embracing the power of MBE practices," said Stephen Collins, President and CEO of Anark Corporation. "Autodesk Inventor users represent a large portion of the extended manufacturing supplier network, and by adopting proven MBE technology and processes, these suppliers will be able to augment traditional documentation and thereby improve efficiency and reduce rework."
