Applied Software®, a leading systems integrator to the AEC, construction and manufacturing industries, today announced that Clay Smith has joined the company as its chief operating officer. Smith offers nearly two decades of executive experience leading manufacturing, sales, engineering and software development organizations from start-up through high-growth transitions.
Prior to joining Applied Software, Smith was vice president, BEM Software Solutions, at Southwire, Inc.

Smith is a former U.S. Army Aviation Officer and holds a bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
