GRAPHISOFT’s award-winning mobile BIM communication tool, BIMx, has won the 2016 Architizer A+ Award in the Mobile Apps category. BIMx won both the professional Jury Award and the Popular Choice Award by ranking highest in user votes in the mobile app category.
The award-winning app for architects and designers opens up the ability to view 2D and 3D content (the Hyper-model) of building projects saved to a BIMx format. BIMx can travel to the job site and allow project stakeholders to access the complete construction documentation of buildings with the tap of a finger.
Architizer, the world's largest and fastest growing website for architecture, launched the definitive architectural award program with 100+ categories and over 300 jurors. The Architizer A+ Awards received entries from 100 countries and represents the best of architecture and design worldwide. Over 400,000 online votes by architects and designers were cast worldwide.
In addition to the online Popular vote, Jury winners were chosen by an illustrious jury, comprising equal parts architects+designers, cultural thought leaders and developers. Industry luminaries such as Denise Scott Brown, Bjarke Ingels and Tom Kundig, as well as personalities from beyond architecture like Tony Hsieh (CEO, Zappos), Yves Behar (Fuseproject), John Edelman (CEO, Design Within Reach), Cameron Sinclair (Architecture for Humanity) and Barry Bergdoll (MoMA) were among the jury members.
