Intergraph® Process, Power & Marine (PP&M), part of Hexagon, today announced it has completed the acquisition of HostSure, Ltd., of Ireland, a fast-growing technology provider of cloud services.

The acquisition of HostSure further solidifies Intergraph's strategic commitment to delivering best-in-class cloud solutions and growth objectives for Intergraph PP&M's SmartPlant® Cloud solution. It allows Intergraph to provide a unique cloud solution for EPCs, fabricators and owner operators of all sizes tailored to their core engineering business processes. The acquisition enables Intergraph to support customers by helping reduce costs, shorten project schedules, improve quality and reduce risks. The combined strengths of Intergraph and HostSure's deep domain experience enables PP&M customers to manage their businesses more profitably, helping them to achieve operational excellence, while improving value and reducing IT overheads.

The HostSure team brings extensive experience in delivering cloud solutions and technology and have previously worked in conjunction with Intergraph deploying applications to major projects such as Pearl GTL – the crown jewel in the Shell-Qatar Petroleum partnership and one of the most complex and challenging energy projects ever commissioned. More recently, HostSure has helped deploy Intergraph SmartPlant Cloud across 17 different countries and over 20 major engineering and owner operator companies.

With industry growth of cloud computing predicted to be more than 30 percent annually over the next five years, the HostSure acquisition puts Intergraph ahead of its competition to take advantage of this market trend while delivering applications best suited to meet customer needs.

SmartPlant Cloud is Intergraph's engineering ecosystem offering SmartPlant applications and third-party applications supported by technical and business operations service. SmartPlant Cloud provides a single, unified and secure computer environment that can contain multiple projects and user communities.

SmartPlant Cloud supports customer objectives to reduce CAPEX/OPEX costs and shorten project schedules by enabling all parties involved – in either the design of a project or the operations and maintenance of a facility – to share a consistent, common view of all documents and data available.
