Infor today announced that Valmet, a global leader in pulp, paper and energy process technologies, automation, and services, has selected Infor to support a major global business transformation. The Infor suite of software incorporates Infor LN, Infor ION, Infor Ming.le, Infor d/EPM, Infor Warehouse Mobility and Infor Field Service, and will help drive greater visibility across the organization, boost productivity and capacity planning, and foster close collaboration amongst employees, customers and suppliers. In turn this will support Valmet's vision to become a global champion in serving its customers.
Spanning 43 countries for 5500 users, the project is expected to be fully live in 2020, following a deployment that will be undertaken in collaboration with Accenture.
Following a thorough evaluation of the market, Valmet selected Infor due to Infor's ability to provide Valmet with a competitive ERP solution including a modern and mobile user interface. Replacing a heavily customized Baan ERP solution which was no longer fit for purpose, Infor's modern suite of applications will help drive benefits across a number of areas including improved process efficiency, data quality improvement and IT platform simplification. After the project is fully live, Valmet anticipates potential efficiency savings in excess of €30 million annually.
