CCE, a leading provider in advanced interoperability technology and engineering services, has found that the BOM tool, in EnSuite-View, has sparked a huge interest, making it one of the most widely-used tools by avid users.
The BOM tool, in EnSuite-View, can be used to view the bill of materials within assemblies and displays the following information:
- All unique parts, with number of occurrences in the assembly, and their metadata.
- Any unique part, as well as all the transformations of that part available within the assembly.
Many different operations can be performed while using the BOM tool, including:
- A sub-assembly can be marked as a purchased item in order to ignore the parts available under that particular sub-assembly from the BOM.
- The BOM can be exported to HTML and XLS formats.
- Any component, listed in the BOM table, can be opened.
- Assembly structure can be shown with indentations.
EnSuite-View is a free and easy-to-use software that allows users to view all major CAD formats (CATIA, NX, SOLIDWORKS, Creo, Autodesk Inventor, Solid Edge, Rhinoceros, Parasolid, ACIS, IGES, STEP, JT, VDA, SketchUp, and Adobe 3D PDF), as well as neutral formats, without requiring a license of any CAD system. EnSuite-View also features advanced productivity tools, which allow users to analyze models and assemblies.
