Successful Las Vegas BIM Workshop Officially Kicks off the 2016 Workshops Season

The BIM Workshops announces today the successful conclusion of its Las Vegas event, which saw strong support from the area’s BIM professionals and users. Hosted by U.S. CAD, a BIM consultant and Autodesk Platinum Partner, the all-day training and networking event featured industry-leading experts discussing technology trends and best practices for architecture, construction, and engineering.

“We want to thank the Las Vegas community, the speakers, and attendees for making this event such a success,” states Daniel J. Counts, CEO of U.S. CAD. “Our team is committed to the education and professional development of our clients, users, and partners in the Las Vegas area, and an event like this is a great opportunity for us to share and exchange valuable information directly from industry professionals. Participation from the community is tantamount to the Workshops’ success, and we are encouraged by the community’s reaction to continue the regional expansion of the BIM Workshops.”

“The Las Vegas BIM Workshops was a really good opportunity for learning and networking,” explains attendee Sidd Kothari of The PENTA Building Group. “While the Workshops [are] based more on an Autodesk University kind of format, they have a more personal touch and more customized classes. It’s a good opportunity for BIM professionals to network with each other and find what others are doing in the BIM scene. Overall, it was a really good experience.”

While the Las Vegas BIM Workshops has concluded, U.S. CAD continues to offer other professional development and networking opportunities in the form of user groups for Infrastructure and Building, free webinars like Infrastructure Tuesdays and Workflow Wednesdays, and training classes.

On its next stop, the BIM Workshops will return to Orange County, CA for its third consecutive run. The June 9th event will reflect the unique needs of the Southern California BIM community, with sessions focused on emerging technologies such as drones, cloud collaboration, laser scanning, and more. Attendees also benefit from a speaker line-up featuring a mix of industry and local experts who will address both overall technology trends and challenges that are specific to the area’s users and businesses.

The BIM Workshops events started with the Central States Revit Workshop in 2012. The continued success of the Central States Revit Workshop, along with the technical community’s positive feedback, prompted a multi-event expansion and a re-branding to the name BIM Workshops. Hosted by U.S. CAD, the Workshops were created originally to connect local users with national, regional, and local industry speakers and leaders. For many users, the Workshops continue to be the most cost-effective opportunity to get training in Autodesk software and to learn from and network with their industry leaders and peers.
