Global CAD/CAM provider, Vero Software has joined up with parent company, Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence (MI) to inaugurate the new Hexagon premises in St. Priest.
For the first time in Europe, this new Centre brings together Hexagon MI, Vero Software and Leica Geosystems technologies, offering even greater reactivity to the needs of industrial and geospatial sectors. It demonstrates the complementary technologies of the Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence and Vero Software product portfolio.
Antonio Parisse, Sales Manager for Vero Software France, Daniel Jullien, Sales Manager EMEA for Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence and Jaime FERNANDEZ, Regional Manager EMEA South for Leica Geosystems, presented their different solutions to customers, partners and journalists. They also showed progress made on the Hexagon MI Global Process resulting from the synergy between measuring, scanner, CMM, arms and CAD/CAM software products.
Antonio Parisse evoked a problem frequently encountered in the field of mechanical engineering: the loss of numeric data required to reproduce an existing part or a section of a part. "Reproducing an identical part, or a section of a part for which the model data has been lost, can now be undertaken very rapidly thanks to Vero Software/Hexagon MI integrated solutions."
The event was rounded off with a presentation from Gilles Pernoud, CEO of Georges PERNOUD. The Georges PERNOUD Group specialise in Plastic Injection Tooling and Composites in different sectors such as Automotive, Building and Security, have chosen the path of innovation and productivity in order to remain competitive. Gilles Pernoud, a partner of Vero Software for 27 years and of Hexagon MI since July 2015, explained how by incorporating Hexagon MI control equipment (mobile and fixed CMMs) within the production process (CAD/CAM and Viewer software from Vero Software), the resulting levels of quality have already allowed his group to further improve its productivity.
Samantha Mayet, Marketing Coordinator at Vero Software in France, says: "The satisfaction of the attendees at the inaugural event was plain to see. Both at the level of interaction between the technical teams and the Sales and Marketing teams as well as the scope of the collective industrial solutions presented by Vero Software/Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence. The Hexagon multi-technology Centre in St. Priest is the living symbol of a concept which has become a reality. Quality drives productivity."
