Flatirons Solutions® announced today that it has signed a partnership agreement with CIMPA, a Sopra Steria company and provider of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Service Lifecycle Management (SLM) consulting and system integration services to aerospace and defense original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), their partners, and their suppliers. The partnership enhances the value of PLM/SLM infrastructure of CIMPA customers in France, which enjoys a strong global presence in aviation and defense manufacturing, by facilitating adoption of the Flatirons Multi-Spec Solution (part of Flatirons’ CORENA Suite of software).
The Flatirons Multi-Spec Solution helps aerospace and defense OEMs produce interactive technical publications to support civilian and defense program requirements in multiple data standards, including iSpec2200, S1000D, and others. The Multi-Spec solution integrates with PLM/SLM systems from Siemens, Aras, Dassault Systèmes, and others so that OEMs can easily reuse that data in technical publications to create and better automate engineering-driven updates to maintenance manuals, work cards, and other technical documents used to operate, repair, and maintain civilian and military aircraft and other large assets.
Christophe Rouille, CIMPA’s Service Lifecycle Management Business Unit Director, noted that “through our partnership with Flatirons SAS, CIMPA is able to help OEMs and their networks of partners and suppliers better share, reuse, and manage the complex technical data needed to maintain and operate their products. More importantly, with the Multi-Spec Solution they can do it from within a single, innovative platform that extends the value of the customer’s PLM/SLM investment.”
“This partnership brings together the most advanced technical publications solution for manufacturers of large assets with leading PLM experts who are experienced at integrating systems for the world’s most innovative OEMs,” said Jean-Daniel Sillion, Chief Solution Officer for Flatirons Solutions. “Together, Flatirons and CIMPA are helping to provide OEMs with a seamless solution for managing complex technical information from the product design stage through the delivery of the information to the maintenance engineer’s mobile viewer. This end-to-end capability is unique in our industry.”
